Hour of Code
"Employment of computer and information research scientists is projected to grow 21 percent from 2021 to 2031, much faster than the average for all occupations... About 3,300 openings for computer and information research scientists are projected each year, on average, over the decade." (From the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics website.)
CMHS has long been part of the biggest coding event in history! During Computer Science Week (first week of December), we've held multiple Hour of Code events in the Library Lab! Students had the opportunity to code lots of cool computer games such as Minecraft, Star Wars, and Flappy Birds. Check out these historical pics (yes, those are desktops!!!!).
But, you don't have to wait for an organized event. You can join the coding movement, at anytime, on your own!
